All Winery 5280 products are mindfully made in a way that’s good for the world we share. From vine to bottle, every step of our process is gentle and carefully considered.
Our West Loveland Vineyard
Nestled in the foothills of West Loveland, our vineyard is where the heart of Winery 5280 truly begins. Winery 5280 vineyard took roots in 2024, and now it’s home to ⅓ acre of four exceptional varietals chosen to thrive in our high‑altitude climate:
Marquette (red)
Petite Pearl (red)
Frontenac Blanc (white)
Brianna (white)
As our vineyard takes root in its first years, we are bringing in grapes from Washington State, which has one of the best climates for Bordeaux varietals, and from the western slope of Colorado, which has the world’s best climates for Viognier. The western slope is known for growing outstanding cold hardy grape varieties, which we will use to expand our winery lineup for you.
Our Vine‑to‑Bottle Philosophy
From the moment we prepare the soil to the day a cork is pulled, we approach our craft with care, patience, and respect for God’s creation.
We take a gentle hand with our vines, favoring sustainable practices that protect the land and yield grapes full of character. Our winemaking is intentionally small‑scale, allowing us to focus on quality over quantity and preserve the unique expression of each varietal.
Our Vineyard & Location
We’re lucky enough to say that our vineyard sits in a place where sunshine spills over the vines by day and cool mountain air settles in at night.
We chose this location with intention. Being just minutes from Loveland’s heart and a short drive from the Denver–Fort Collins corridor means our vineyard is close enough to share with our community, yet set apart enough to offer a quiet, peaceful setting. Most importantly, these foothills provide the conditions that our chosen varietals need to thrive—; sun‑drenched days, cool nights, and the resilience to stand up to Colorado’s unpredictable weather.
Our Farming Practices
We believe great wine begins with healthy vines, so we treat our vineyard like the living, breathing space it is.
We use cold, hardy grape varieties and regenerative agriculture practices to ensure our grapes are healthy enough to withstand our Colorado climate. We never use pesticides or synthetic fertilizers and we treat the soil with organic compost in the fall and compost tea throughout the year.
Nutrients are primarily managed through a strategic mix of beneficial fungal/root growth, balancing bacterial, mycorrhizal, & beneficial nematode populations, and through no till, biannual cover crop rotations. These cover crops help bring in predatory insects that keep pest populations low.

Visiting the Vineyard
While our vineyard isn’t open for walk‑in visits just yet, we welcome guests by appointment for a behind‑the‑scenes look at our production facility.
Tours start at our production facility on East 11th Street in Loveland, where every bottle of Winery 5280 wine is crafted. From there, you can finish the tour out at our tasting room where you can enjoy a glass of wine.
Please note: groups will need to do a short walk (about 150 yards) or drive over to the tasting area as it is separate from the production area. Currently The tasting area is a shared space with a flooring store, so feel free to get home remodel ideas while enjoying your glass of wine.
